The desert landscapes of the American West have always captivated me with their vastness and desolation. Over the years, I have returned time and again, drawn to their stark beauty. Among these, Death Valley stands out as the most fascinating of all the national parks I’ve explored, with its extreme conditions and hauntingly beautiful vistas.
What also intrigues me about the West is the American mindset—the culture, the contrasts, and the stories that unfold in such a diverse land. My most recent visit in October 2024, just before the elections, gave me a chance to witness firsthand the stark difference between the opulence of California and the tough realities of life in the interior.
This photo series explores the interplay between the vast, empty landscapes and the human lives that unfold within them, capturing both the raw beauty of the land and the striking social contrasts that define this region.
