North of the iconic Lofoten, the islands of Vesterålen and Senja offer a different but equally captivating Nordic experience. While their landscapes are less dramatic, with softer, less jagged peaks, they still boast breathtaking coastlines, deep fjords, and picturesque fishing villages that seem untouched by time.
I have had the privilege of exploring and photographing these regions many times—sometimes alone, other times while guiding small groups eager to capture their unique charm. This photo series reveals the raw beauty of Vesterålen and Senja in all their moods, from golden Arctic summers to snow-covered winter silence.
Though less rugged than Lofoten, these islands remain a paradise for photographers—where nature's vastness and the play of light create an ever-changing masterpiece.
